The doctors always want to make sure I’m numb before starting and continue to check as the procedures continue. The longest I’ve had to wait is 20 minutes in the lobby with a scheduled appointment, but in their defense, this was during covid. Don’t get comfy in the lobby, you’ll be getting called back before you do. 10/10 would recommend!

When I was in 5th grade I started feeling what I called an electrical shock when my front top teeth touched the bottom teeth. The pain was intense and went from my bottom tooth up my face. The dentist did an exam and told my mom my teeth were perfect except for the slight slant of my bottom tooth that gave me pain. The pain stopped briefly, but returned two months later and a swollen dark bump appeared by that bottom tooth. The dentist then told my mom I needed a root canal. I was in 5th grade! He could not numb my mouth, but continued working on the root canal for an hour. I was held down and in so much pain, it felt as if I were being tortured. He finally decided to finish it the next day. I was sent home without pain medication. The next day he still couldn’t numb my mouth, but worked another hour on my tooth before deciding he had to pull it. I was traumatized by this experience. So, any time I need to go to a dentist gives me terrible anxiety. I met with Dr. Stanic yesterday. What a wonderful dentist and person he is. He and his staff made me feel comfortable and at ease right away. They came up with a dental plan that I’m happy with and I left feeling that I would be taken care of. My husband and daughter also go to Sequoia Dental Office. They encouraged me to make an appointment and I’m so happy I gave them a chance.
